ESOL / EAL Online Tutor and Teacher role requirements:

     
  • Experience: 2+ years online teaching experience, ideally working with vulnerable non-English speaking students in a holistic and trauma-informed way
  •  
  • Subjects: EAL / ESL / ESOL / EFL
  •  
  • Qualifications: Professional Teaching Qualifications (e.g. CELTA, TEFL, TESOL)
  •  
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
  •  
  • Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
  •  
  • Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The ESOL / EAL Online Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:

     
  • Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid EAL / ESOL tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
  •  
  • Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
  •  
  • Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress

We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health).   • This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, via temporary and fixed term contracts as and when they arise

  • You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE

  • This is not a self-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
