Targeted Provision: Transforming education for young people with unmet needs
Mainstream education is not a ‘one size fits all’, and for some young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges, or those at risk of exclusion, traditional schooling can be overwhelming or lack the support they need. At Targeted Provision, we offer personalised, trauma-informed education that helps young people regain confidence, rediscover the joy of learning, and reach their full potential.
Personalised learning tailored to each young person
At Targeted Provision, the young person is at the centre of all decisions made. Qualified SEND specialist tutors work closely with schools and local authorities to design bespoke education programmes. Whether learning at home, in schools, online, or in community settings, each plan is tailored to a young person's needs, interests, and abilities. Safety and well-being are key to everything we do, with robust safeguarding practices in place to protect young people, tutors, parents, and carers.
The power of relationships in education
Every young person deserves to feel understood. Targeted Provision carefully matches tutors to young people based on their skills, interests, and experiences. This relational approach builds trust, motivation, and engagement, ensuring that learning is meaningful and empowering.
Who we support
Targeted Provision works with a wide range of learners, including:
- Looked-after children (LAC)
- Young people with SEND, SEMH, or additional needs
- Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)
- Young people unable to attend school or at risk of exclusion
By addressing the unmet needs of vulnerable learners, Targeted Provision provides pathways back into education and helps students achieve success.
